Inspired by the iconic imagery of the 60’s and 70’s stylish relaxed jet-set crowd in sun drenched exotic locations around the world, Poolside Gossip is a new swimwear brand created by renowned womenswear designer Pamela Blundell and friend Katie Keith.
Both women are working mothers with a love of fashion who wanted to create a brand that combined Pamela's design and tailoring skills with Katie’s experience in advertising and production. And their love of a fabulous poolside wardrobe.
“In Poolside Gossip we wanted to create a luxurious swimwear brand that is evocative of the optimism, the glamour, the luxury and the fun of the jet-set poolside scene. A brand that celebrates women and their friendships, empowering them to look and feel gorgeous. One that is committed to quality, sustainability with style and an attention to cut that is often overlooked in swimwear.”
In addition to celebrating women's bodies, Poolside Gossip also believe that women should expect the same from poolside-wear as their other wardrobe favourites. Quality is key and designs are innovative, creative, well-cut and suit a number of different body types, transforming from swim to street to party.
With the majority of the range being made with Econyl a regenerated nylon, Poolside Gossip's ambition is to be a grass-roots, environmentally sustainable business. Manufacturing in local factories enables the brand to reduce its impact on the environment and support small businesses and the rigour applied during the design and the production process ensures the products are created to last.
The Summer 19 launch collection consists of 12 different designs that come in a variety of colourways. One-pieces are fluid and glamorous designs in sunshine bright colours and styles influenced by 50’s Hollywood Glamour, 70’s London Glitz and Miami Roller-Girl. Bikini shapes have been rigorously created with unique internal structures and subtle details that enhance support without the need for uncomfortable underwires or bulky pads. Bikini Bottoms are cut to enhance leg lengths and flatter a variety of figures.
All styles are lined, some reversible, enabling a choice of two suits in one. The modern Econyl fabric is durable for longevity and comfortable retaining its shape and colour, giving excellent value to a covetable piece of swimwear.
Launching as an exclusively direct to consumer brand with a unique made to order model means customers can select from a curated collection, mix and match bikini separates and create their own colour combinations.
